Haiku Healing Arts Logo

For the Haiku Healing Arts logo we wanted to incorporate water and organic elements based not only on the location - Maine. which is a area with deep connections to the ocean, but also the clients Sun sign in Cancer which is represented by the element of water and attributes of being nurturing, emotionally attuned and intuitive. On that note, I chose the organic element of the Blue Water Lotus in the mark.

The Blue Water Lotus; Nymphaea caerulea, is a water dwelling flower with mild psychoactive properties. The flower was sacred to the ancient Egyptians who ascribed it as being the birthplace of the Egyptian god of creation: Ra. This flower has associations with rebirth and opening the Third Eye, which is the chakra center of our intuition and viewing the unconscious realms. I chose this flower as representative in the design due to the flower's associations with opening the doorways to our intuition and healing from within - something I felt resonated with the brand's overall identity. The organic shape of the archway and the radiating lines outward open to the flower and flowing wave like blue shapes which depict an opening archway to healing.
